Community Involvement

OCTOBER INVOLVEMENT

All the members and staff at Curves recently got involved with Breast Cancer Care for October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  We supported them by joining in with the Pink Fridays Campaign where we had a huge amount of fun with Pink Cake Days amongst others!  Along with donations from this and donations received in exchange for a joining fee for Curves we raised over £800!  

We also took part in the Bra Recycling Campaign - Throughout October we collected  old bras in our Pink Bra Bank. In developing countries bras are expensive to manufacture which has led to shortage in supply of affordable bras. BCR Global textiles collect all these bras for recycling to fill this need. For every kilo of bras collected, a donation was made to Breast Cancer Awareness. We sent off over 30 kilo's worth of Bra's!!

 In November we made 23 wonderful Christmas Shoe Boxes for the Operation Christmas Child Appeal with donations from staff and members.
